he was a leading member of the german psychatric medecine.
psychiatrist at the Un of Graz in Austria, he flew in 1933 after the Dollfuss putsch. Member of the NS party since 1931.
He joined SS in 1936.
Prior the war he work at the psychiatric clinic of Koln.
On 21 1939 he replaced Dr Bonhoeffer as psychiatric director of the Clinic "La charité" of Berlin.
He worked with RuSHA
on 1941 he became Med director of Amt W in Min. fur Erziehung und Wissenschaft

He was opponent to "psychotherapy" in the Psychiatry (Freund tendancies of the modern psychiatry).

but the odd part of his bio was he was involved in the Venlo incident with Schellenberg (a close friend) in 1939.
What were his connections with SD ?

de Crinis was not a close friend of Schellenberg, but he was a close friend of the Heydrichs with whom he frequently went riding in Berlin. No doubt he met Schellenberg through his personal connections with Heydrich. He masqueraded as one of the German army officers who met Best and Stevens prior to the Venlo incident.
His undoubted role in the Euthanasia Programme needs further investigation.
He committed suicide with his wife at the end of the war.

I believe these were the first EK1 personal presentations by Hitler of the war.

Suizid mit Zyankali gemeinsam mit seiner Ehefrau. Sterbeurkunde im Standesamt Stahnsdorf Nr. 179/1946 vom 28.05.1946.
