Hi Phil,

according to the judgment of the Landgericht Köln from 20.06.1953 Schäfer was married since 1928. He had one daughter (born 1929) and one son (born 1935).

Greetings from

Translation & Postwar query

Postby PF » 28 Oct 2006 12:42

Does this biography say that he served in World War I with 3rd Field Artiilery Unit?
That his postwar career included service with the FreiKorps and Stalhelm?
Did He serve a few years in prisionuntil the 1950's and was pardoned and or released such as Krupp; I.G.Farben leaders; Dr. Franz Six;?? DOD known?

Schäfer's wife was born 25 Feb 1906 in Breslau. Her maiden name was Lauterbach and she was not a member of the NSDAP. His son was born in 1935 and his daughter in 1929.
