"Fiamme Bianche" were young volunteers born in the years 1926, '27, '28, sometimes younger. They were around 5.000, and those who completed basic training at Velo d'Astico (Piemonte) formed two battalions. Some of them were embedded into the "Etna" Division and others into the "Muti" Legion or Black Brigades.
"Fiamme Bianche" was a paramilitary organization, like Gioventù Italiana del Littorio.
