The Greek Cruiser Helle was supposed to have been sunk by an Italian submarine on August 15th 1940, before the outbreak of war between Italy & Greece.
Has anyone got any further info-Thanks

Did the Italians sink the Greek Cruiser Helle?
On 15 August 1940, the Greek cruiser-minelayer “Helle” (ex-Chinese “Fei Hung”) was torpedoed and sunk by the Italian submarine “Delfino” (a “Squallo” Class boat) while at anchor at Tinos Island, Crete, during the celebration of the Feast of the Assumption. The four “Squallo” Class boats were stationed in the Dodecanese upon Italy’s entry into WWII.

Hi Shawn
Found out that the Italians fired 4 Torpedo's at the Cruiser, of which one hit killing 1 man and injuring several others whilst the remaining torpedos hit a pier/breakwater injuring several civilians.
I believe also that this admission by the Italians only siurfaced sevearl decades after the event
