I have a photograph of a WWII lorry or truck that has had its road wheels replaced by rail wheels and it's on a rail track and being loaded. I've hunted but can find no reference to such a heavy road truck; it certainly isn't a 'draisine'. If anyone can shed light on this and the practice of mounting heavy vehicles directly on rails I would be very pleased to hear about it and pointed in the right direction for more information.Rail wheel mounted trucks and lorries
Rail wheel mounted trucks and lorries

It was quite usual in the Wehrmacht to use sometimes trucks as railway transporters, usually these were home-made, but some have been used in the 30's by the Reichsbahn. Here some variants:
