Nice photos all the same.

Good luck Arto
And thanks to you and Bill for entering into the spirit of what we have here - helping each other with knowledge but not taking it TOO seriously. Quad bikes in WW2 would have been interseting!

Re: A Favour For A Friend
Hey, she's ridding a rare 1938 AAVB, 6 Cylinder "Suomi" quad bike, issued in small numbers to the Finnish "Kommmaaando" units that opporated behind the Russian lines in 1943 and 1944. Nice find! *Grins* I hope my post draws a few more in who can have a more, ummmmm....productive input to the very wo...

Re: Most Popular Tank of WW2?
Most popular or best? Best tank deployed (just) in WW2 was without a doubt the Russian JSIII. Shaped armour, low target and a killer gun. Plus nice and smoothe for the tank riders to sit on. No sharp edges. Nothing else compares.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Anyone any idea what this is? It's based on a Czeck Tatra OAVZ 30 Armoured Car, but is it a German conversion, or as I suspect a post war stop gap for the new Czeck army? Check (sorry!) the vehicles in the background.

Ahhh! That's a Praga TNSPE riot control vehicle. Part armoured and with a machine gun as main armament and a 45mm water cannon as secondary "armament". 7 purchased bt the Romanians in late 1930s and served through the war according to my information (Czech AFVs 1918-48, Pub = Sciffer Military History)

Re: The official AHF Panzers & other vehicles quiz thread
Hi guys Bill is right it is the Polish C2P tractor (not the more widely used C7P). They were used in small numbers by the Germans. And yes that was a terrible pun about "polishing off" the question but what the hey, if you can't have fun with WW2 weapons of mass destruction when can you. Over to you...

Hi everyone
Having complained earlier about too many soft skins I'm going to post one myself, but with a twist. Who can polish off an answer to this teaser?
