48 all GOLD STAR US Flag - anyone?

#1

Post by John G. » 05 Oct 2010, 23:37

Usually I humbly try to answer the questions....this time I'm the one asking.....anyone ever heard of an American WW 2
regular 48 stars & bars flag except the stars (all of them) are GOLD color. Did "The Gold Star Mothers" or some similiar
organizations use such a flag? I've been around awhile and have never heard of one, I could propose a few possibilities....
but anyone with any real information? Supposedly WW 2 vintage all the way (could be just after, of course...), but haven't seen it myself, for a friend.....
thanks in advance....

I once was told that I was vain, but I knew that vanity was a fault, so I gave it up because I have no faults.

Replying to an old post.

Yes I have a US 48 "Gold Star" casket/burial flag. And the history of the flag.

I also have a 48 star flag with all 48 gold/yellow stars sewn on with zigzag stitches. I don't have any history on it but I would love to hear the history of yours as well. Thank you in advance.

I'm very interested in the history of this flag as my mother has one of these as well
