identify shoulder patches?

These came with some collectibles I bought. They say Japanese shoulder patches on the envelope they came in but have a question mark. Just wondering if anyone knows what these are.

Can't read Japanese kanji... the Japanese often wore strips of cloth with their names/unit ID written on- these might be something like that. They are not "shoulder patches" or official insignia... if that's what these are... more like "name tags".

Best I can do... you should re-title this "Unidentified Japanese kanji cloth strips"... maybe someone can read them for you.
