M1915 Pickelhaube

Post by PIckelhaubeGuy » 23 Oct 2017 22:52

I just picked up a M1915 Pickelhaube from Wurttemberg. I was wondering if there are any ways
I can tell it's original. There is 133 that is very hard to make out on the back bill, but it looks like any other marking has been pinted over with black paint.

Impossible to say much without photographs.... other than from experience, aging, and quality of overall helmet, inside and out. Not that unusual to have previous marking "inked out", but also indicative of a possible "parts" helmet. There are several "Picklehaube" websites that show what you need to see & learn. Hope it works out.
