Help identifying uniform insignia. Pre WW1?

Post by Danylo » 19 Mar 2018 01:41

Anyone know what this collar insignia is or have any info on it? If my info is correct I would guess the photo was taken somewhere in 1860's -1880's.

Collar patch looks exactly like from Freikorps Landesjäger - 1918.
From the history of the Korps:
Als Abzeichen wurde ein silberner Eichenzweig (wurde auf beiden Kragenseiten getragen)
The badge was a silver oak branch (was worn on both sides of the collar)
If we become increasingly humble about how little we know, we may be more eager to search.
