can you identify this unit flash ?
it's painted 18 on red part of the shield

Might be a French Lid...would have to see straight on pics, to eliminate distorsions.

If USA M-1,, do not clean or restore.might be a good one.

Will check out insignia of USA units for the shield ID, but I bet JohnG has the ID
