WWI Imperial Iron Cross (Eisernes Kreuz) Authentic??

#1

Post by Eye4NEye » 26 Dec 2018, 19:54

Quite a while ago I purchased a safe in estate sale lot from WW1 Survivor and among other WWI & WW2 items was a WWI Imperial Iron Cross (Eisernes Kreuz). Now that I am looking to sell some of my collectibles I was really hoping you experts could help me determine if real, repoduction or fake. I know these are one of highly faked metals but all the tips online to authenticate seem to indicate it’s real(3 piece, magnetic core, marked M 800, pressed silver edge line, rigidity/no bend, sharp center black edges, etc). Any opinions are greatly appreciated!

Nice 1914 Iron Cross 2nd cl., 100% original, and an 800 mkd. Silver one to boot. Just needs an original ribbon!
No problem with this one.
