Searching for history of WWII us army insignia ring

Hello, I’m new here so please inform me if my post is against the forum’s regulations or not so I can fix it or take it down.

I’m looking for more info for my father’s ring. He claimed that he got it from his late father who served in WWII and we just want to know more info about it. Any small info would help, thank you.

Also, his father used to serve in the 10th infantry.

This ring is a generic US ARMY ring, not specific to any unit of branch. The eagle style was/is used by both officers and enlisted men. Usually bought at the PX or local souvenir shops located outside bases and are probably the most common WW 2 US ring.
Nice keepsake.
