All three items pictured are fake, the ID tag is crap, the helmet is pathetic..... The buckle lacks the detail of an original on the front. Sorry.

Thanks John. Do you or does anyone know any place in the Bavaria area of Germany that would have real authentic historical items instead of all the counterfeit stuff? I’m trying to start a small collection of items from every war I can and am in Germany the next few weeks.

Buying anything in Germany is a minefield, there are dealers but prices tend to be on the astronomical side, and the flea markets and boot sales are loaded with crap. As a novice collector, don't even consider SS stuff.... even experienced collectors get burned with bogas SS crap.

Where is home... There are plenty of U.S. and UK dealers who sell original stuff.
