German blanket or just a lookalike?

Post by WilliamDS » 29 May 2020 03:25

I was hoping someone with some known-real Wehrmacht blankets or knowledge of such could help me figure out if this is, in fact, a German military blanket or if it is just a similar looking civilian one. It measures about 70"/177cm long by 45-46"/114-117cm wide depending on where it is measured. The edging on one end looks put of place but could also have been done at a later date. The wool appears to be low quality as do the printed stripes. There is no evidence of any kind of stamp or printed marking anywhere on the blanket. If it's not what I thought, that's alright as it was only listed as "striped blanket" and I paid a pittance for it, but i am hoping that it is in fact a Wehrmacht blanket. Thanks for any help you can give!
