Maintaining German Dress Sword With Mineral Oil?

Hello everyone,

I just obtained a german dress sword and was wondering how to maintain it. I live in quite a hot and humid environment so this is quite an important topic to me. I understand that oiling the blade with mineral oil is fine but what I want to know is what about the rest of the sword? I apologise if this has already been asked, I am unable to find the information I’m after, thus this post.
