LSSAH Standard
What became of the Leibstandarte's standard after the war? I think I remember newsreel footage of it being ceremoniously dumped into a pile of other German military standards by Russian soldiers at a victory parade in Moscow.

Hmmm, the text on this page says that this standard was Adolf Hitler's personal standard. Is the page wrong?

Yes, he is mixing up the Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler, with Adolf himself.Birgitte Heuschkel wrote:Hmmm, the text on this page says that this standard was Adolf Hitler's personal standard. Is the page wrong?

The touring dates were in 1999 not 2000 (sorry). I could not find any pictures and the web site: http://www.wwiithroughrussianeyes.com is no longer active. A search turned up these sites with references to the events:
http://www.mcbride-co.com/museums/ww2.html
http://www.defenselink.mil/news/Jun1999 ... 06235.html
http://www1.sddt.com/files/library/1999/05/27/tca.html
The first link was to a company which apparently was involved in the logistics. They may be a source for further info.
