Hello collectorfriends specially to you in USA

I was lucky to find all the flags from the german viceadmiral-office in south of sweden. On the viceadmiralflag there was a lot of amercan names writen on it with a annilin-pen. I dont think its soldiers name,I found one peson on website over dead americans and he was born 1931. Have you any idea how to find any survivors and find out how their names was written on the flag.I´m 100% sure that it is a genuine flag and piqtures can be sended if there are any intrest

Hello,

Nice flag. It is certainly original.

One word of advise, have you tried to contact the soldiers on the flag? If they are still alive, I'm sure they will have more items, possibly for sale, and might be able to give you some good background on the flag.

Sorry to say it, but the answer is no.The flag was "liberated" in sweden 1945 and have not seen daylight until 2002. And I dont have a single idea how the names was putted on it. And as I said I´m not sure if it is soldiersnames. The chanses for me ,living in sweden, to find any of this men living on the other side of the world aint to big.

Best regards Gusten

For kicks I searched on people.yahoo.com for Harlan Jackson of Paducah KY, and found someone...address wasn't the same, but Harlan isn't too common a name anymore...wonder if thats him.
Nice flag too by the wya.
Good luck on research,
Jason Hlavacek
