Since I'm not an expert, you'll have to settle for me.

I can't really tell much from the pictures. Are the blades Damascus steel? Are the grips wood?Who are the makers? The marker mark shoud be between Himmler and the crossguard.

Rich, I think these are miniature daggers!
The pictures are not so good, so not so much to see!
Take some better pics, close ups, than we can give you a better opinion!

Miniatures

#12

Post by Douglas 5 » 30 Oct 2004, 18:25

Hi Von Thermann :
Welcome to this forum.
These are miniatures .......comparing in picture 1010001 the letter size papers on the desk to the out side of the box.
I am not familiar with miniture daggers but seeing the additional pictures you posted I conclude :...the over all quallity and contruction of them is so very poor and in my opinion post war .

Daggers

#14

Post by Douglas 5 » 30 Oct 2004, 23:00

Hi there again:
Some more important questions :

Where and from whom did you buy the daggers in 1989, if you do not mind me asking >???
Are the handels plasic ???
Any names , maker names or numbers at the of the blade at all ???
Was that 3400.- US dollars ???
In my own personal opinion Himmler did not give these daggers to any leader of any rank !!! Hope someone can prove me wrong on this !!!
As said befor .....( I do not like the way they look )I am not an expert on these small daggers and hoping for input and confermation from other members.

estimated mr. douglas
i adquired this article in argentina to a friend, he have got an gun shop, he bought this article to frau von thermann, she was the wife of embasador edmund freiherr von thermann, this family had in argentina a lot of friends and admirators of the nazi sistem and this man von thermann i listen to a person sayd about him was a member of the ss, well perhaps he was affilied to the ss corps.
well but I not undestand why in the box existed a dagger of the sa?

??????? 8O
the dagger of the sa had a mark with a draw of helmet and sword, and the word solingen.
the ss dagger mark sayd: ss rzm and 123/34
thanks very much
