Not an official SS ring.

Is there any markings on the inside of the band?

How much does the seller desire?

What is the seller claiming?

Looks like a fantasy peice.

......and the incision of the stone appare very approximative and no professional.
Probable the stone was damage during the incision of the runes from a really no pratic guy.
Please, if you ve a scan you can show a very better pic of the stone with runes.
Thank You

If you are looking to buy an authentic SS ring do not buy this one.

It is not an official SS ring. Looks more like a fantasy item or a repro. of an unofficial period ring.

Price ($90) is a big giveaway for authentic period piece in the first instance.

Sellers stating they recently "dug rings up around Europe" is a very popular and much used story at present for ring sellers. Most of these items are very dubious.

Speaking of rings

#7

Post by Oskar » 07 Sep 2002, 22:00

Hello guys:

Speaking of rings, a friend of mine has an SS ring he says is from the 5th Div. given to him bu Klaus Altman (Barbie). It has the face of a viking in the center, the letters SS in lightning form on one side and the swastika in the shape of a circle (like the ones worn on belt buckles), on the other.

Is it an original or a fake?

Thanks,

Oskar

I think these are all fakes. Here is a link which has some info on the SS-Totenkopfring:

Unfortunately I don't have a picture. My friend showed to me once about two years ago and all I remember about the ring is from that one time.

Does this 'viking' ring look like this?

as you can see it's being sold by reproduction dealer.
