In 1951 to early 1952, the KMT forces that had retreated into Northern Burma carried out at least three major incursions into Yunnan, were defeated with heavy loss each time and had to retereat back into Burma. The only references I have been able to find are, to say the least, more or less cursory and more or less accurate. Are there any good military histories of these operations which would inlude decent accounts of the fighting and the numbers, organisation, equipment and appearance of the forces involved?
