Here I have a list of Chinese Generals who were KIA during the war:

>General Chung Yi, Divisional commander of the 173rd Division, was killed on May 9, 1940 while his division was employed in covering the withdrawal of the 11th Army Group in Tang and Pai Rivers.

>General Chang Tze-Chung, taking personal command of his Guard Battalion and the main force of the 74th Division, was KIa at noon of May 16 (the year I forgot).

>Three Divisional commanders were KIA during the Battle of Changte (Oct.-Dec. 1943):

>Generals KIA on November 11, 1944 during the Battle of Kweilin-Linchow (Sept.-Mid-Dec. 1944:

>General Tong Linge or Tung Ling-ko (died 1937) was the Chinese Deputy Commander of 29th Corps or 29th Route Army in 1937 during the Marco Polo Bridge Incident and Battle of Beiping-Tianjin. He was killed along with Zhao Dengyu in the fighting around Nanyuan.

>General Yang Jingyu, Chinese Communist commander-in-chief and political commissar of the First Army of the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army.. It is said that his detachment of 60 people was betrayed by a staff officer to the Japanese on February 18, when Yang was killed along with two soldiers at his side in the Haojiang area. When the enemy cut open his stomach after his death, they found only tree bark and grass roots within, without a single grain of rice.

>General Sòng Zhéyuán was the commander of the 29th Army who died on April 5, 1940 due to his illness.

>General Tang Juwu or Tang Chu-wu who was made head of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Volunteer 3rd Corps, in 1933, was killed on May 18, 1939.

>General Ting Chao who was famous for the defense of Herbin died in 1939.

> General Zhang Jingyao or Chang Ching-yao military governor of Chahar and later Hunan Province, was assassinated in Peiping's Grand Hotel in 1933.

> General Zhao Dengyu or Chao Teng-yu, on the way to Dahongmen to the south of the city, was shot in the chest by Japanese ambush troops and died in action in 1937.

>General Zhao Shangzh, commander of the Northeast Anti-Japan United Army, was captured by the Japanese and died later in 1942.

> General Yao Zhenshan, First Corps Commander of on eof the corps of the National Salvation Army, died in battle in 1938.

> General Liu Xiang or Liu Hsiang, Commander in Chief of the River Defence Forces for the Yangtze River, died in 1938; some suspected he was poisoned by Chiang Kai-shek.

> General Yang Ruifu, regimental commander of the 524th Regiment of the 88th Division, died of a wound infection in early 1940. He was posthumously promoted to a brigadier general of the army.

> General Xie Jinyuan, commander of the 524th Regiment in October 1937, was assassinated on 24 April 1941, by Sergeant He Dingcheng and 3 other of his own troops, who were bought over by Wang Jingwei's collaborationist government. He was posthumously made a Brigadier General of the National Revolutionary Army.

> General Han Fuqu was a member of the Kuomintang, once held the position as the Premier of Shandong. After the onset of the Second Sino-Japanese War, he abandoned his base in Jinan, as the CIC of the Fifth War Area, and was executed by Chiang Kai-shek on 24 January 1938.

>General Wang Mingzhang, or Wang Ming-chang, commander of the 122nd Division, was killed in action March 14, 1938.

>General Chen An-pao, CO of the 29th Corps, led the 26th Division to cross Fu River in the west and renew the offensive during the Battle of Nanchang. Between May 5 and 9, 1939 he was killeda and the offensive was frustrated.

Hi Baron, The following generals died during the war, apparently not related to combat. 1- Feng Ti , 1903-1938, died illness 1938 . 2- Feng YUxiang, 1882-1948, died 1948, and 3- Huang Musong, 1884-1937, died 1937. Regards, Harry
