Royal Navy assitance to China
Need to be pointed in right direction as to when the British Royal Navy began to lend assistance to China during World War 2. Assume Chinese students sent to UK first--then ships. Also guess possibly 1943? Many thanks in advance.

BAILLIE-GROHMAN, Harold Tom

He was awarded The Order of Brilliant Jade (Red Cravat with blue & White Border) as
per the London Gazette of 4 June 1937:
"Conferred by the President of the National Government of the Republic of China
in recognition of valuable services rendered by him as an Instructor in the Chinese Navy."
