Not ROC, this stamp means that the rifle was once the property of a PRC militia organization. Most old rifles were sent to militia when they were withdrawn from service in 1950s. In 1980s, many old rifles were sold to Western (especially American) collectors.L1E1 wrote:貴州興仁縣,人民武裝.
100% sure is Chinese.
貴州省 (Kweichow Province or Guizhou Province), 興仁縣 (Hanyang County)
人民 (people) 武裝 (Armored)
It is the name of the troop.
貴州省興仁縣人民武裝隊 that is the Guard Force of Hanyang County, Kweichow Province, The Republic of China
But the star at the centre suggested it was from "Red China".
