The location of the pillbox on the photo is a village Chenjiabang (陈家浜). The approximate coordinates of the location of the village are 30°53'48.5"N 120°57'13.7"E
The map shows the area of the city Jiashan (嘉善). The battle described in the story occurred in the village Nanqiaocun (南桥村), it is shown as № 6 on the map.
The map also shows the railway bridge № 67, headquarters of the 128th Infantry Division (China) is shown on the map as № 1, arrows on the map show the advance of the Japanese troops.
