American 4.5in rockets in China

Hello,

Can anyone provide more information as when and how many these weapons were provided for China by the US?

I once thought these things were only provided in very small quantities for the Nationalist troops for evaluation & research only. But I have found that these weapons appear again and again on Communist weapon manuals that I've collected listed as captured weapons, the earliest of these manuals dates back to mid 1947. So it must be provided for the Nationalists at a quite early date and was employed on the battlefiels in some quantities. Also what launchers did the US provided to the Nationalists?

In the attachments, the colored picture is taken from a Communist weapon manual from Febrary 1949, showing clearly the words and marks on the rocket body(note the anchor shaped mark - does it mean that this thing belonged to U.S. Marines?), and another one is taken from the manual from 1947.

您好:
這是中美合作所引進給忠義救國軍使用的武器,屬於戴笠專屬的特種武器~

Wow, that's very interesting, thanks a lot!! :D

Any clues about where can I find more about their employment?

太有意思了,十分感谢!在哪里可以查到更多有关它们装备和使用的情况呢?
