Yangzi Flotilla and the "2nd Revolution"

Post by Jerry Asher » 18 Jan 2016 20:29

Can anyone ID the deployment at Wuhan during June 1913, Juijiang/Hukou July 12-August 12th, Nanjing July 14th-August 12th. It is my understanding that gunboats and torpedo boats were deployed-but at first merely observed the rebellion. Towards the end of the month, the Navy was active in suppressing the rebels at Juijiang/Hukou then Nanjing and finally Shanghai. Any information would be useful--including names, dates and location of foreign gunboats and merchant ships that might have observed or commented on events.
