Qing Navy visit to America 1911

Apparently they're from a visit by the Qing Navy to Grant's Tomb in the US in 1911. Apparently the ship, Hai Chi, was the first Chinese warship in American waters, and by the time it came home to China the Xinhai Revolution had already taken place.

By the way if anyone can identify the rifles those sailors are carrying that would be interesting.

I believe they are Mauser Model 1895 rifles firing the 7x57 cartridge.
