Minor Chinese Warlords

I have several books on the Chinese Civil War and Chinese warlords. The books go into some detail regarding major warlords, but only give scant information on minor ones. Some of the books mention warlords who only had hundreds or a few thousand soldiers waging war on each other for years. I've read about rival warlords who were from the same family. These minor warlords sound really interesting, but the books only mention them briefly.

Does anyone have any information on these minor warlords? Any photos?

Most of the minor warlords appeared to have been in Southern China. I'm really curious about them. I suppose Chinese language sources would have more information on them.

"Rival warlords who were from the same family" - this is the case of Sichuan(Szechuan). The two major warlords, Liu Xiang and Liu Wenhui, were from the same family. Also there were a number of minor warlords frequently succeeding each other in Sichuan. There were tales about while the warlords were at war with each other on the frontline, their families were also "at war" with each other in their game of Mahjong.

There is a English study of Sichuan in Warlord Era: Szechwan and the Chinese Republic: Provincial Militarism and Central Power, 1911-38 by Robert A. Kapp. I have not read this book, but it seems to be a good study on this subject.

I bought that book three years ago. It was really good. A concise explanation of the era.
