Collaborationist Chinese Marines

Post by Hama » 06 Nov 2017 17:08

In the book 'Rays of the Rising Sun' by Philip Jowett it says that the Navy of the Reorganized National Government of China had two regiments of marines, one based in Weihaiwei and one in Canton. Does anyone have more information on these units?

I'd be curious to know any info on them. For example were they mostly used for guard duty or were they deployed in any actions against the enemy Chinese forces? Are there any surviving photos of them? How many marines were in each regiment?
