Chinese medics

Did Chinese medical personnel (stretcher bearers, medical NCOs and military doctors etc) wear distinguishing signs in combat (armbands, badges, patches, helmet markings etc) ? And if so, how widespread and uniform were these distinctions among the different types of troops? I am particularly interested in the early part of the war 1937-39/40.
