Nazi looking Chinese Warlord flag predating Nazi Germany?

I found the flag above at this website http://warlords.homestead.com/Index.html . It is supposed to be a Chinese Warlord era flag. It looks like the National Socialist flag except there's no swastika in the middle but has a Chinese pattern instead. Can somebody give more info about this flag?

I think it may be fictional. I did a reverse image search on this, and it turned up on what looks like some kind of Chinese nationalist blog.
