Can anyone identify which Japanese ships arrived or departed the concession at Hankow(Wuhan) between March 31st and April 10th. Persistent anti-Japanese disturbances are recorded from April 3rd on. Which ships landed sailors to defend? Machine guns were employed on April 5th. More than a thousand civilians were evacuated over the next weeks. Any details at all? Apparently Destroyer Division 18 arrived==perhaps on the 7th. Possibly, two cruisers and a gunboat present. Any details would be much appreciated.
