During the 1910s-20s warlord period in China, what sorts of firearms were commonly seen among the armies in the south-eastern and western provinces? By "south-eastern" I'm referring to places like Guangdong, Guangxi, and Fujian, and by "western" I'm thinking of places along the Tibetan border like Yunnan and Xinjiang.
I know that in the northeastern provinces, Japanese and Russian firearms were quite common (Arisakas, Mosin-Nagants, etc.) but I'm not as familiar with the arms supplies in the south-east or west of the country.
What firearms were commonly used by south-eastern and western warlord armies?
