You're welcome Wessel.
It seems there is a blank of the entries for high ranking officers in CPC army in Wiki. Actually PRC had established a firm military ranking system in 1955-1965 for their armed forces on basis of the Soviet model with some localizations. There were 1614 officers that reached the ranks of general or admiral in due course.
Those in H. Forman's pictures were some of them. I do have some basic knowledge about these officers and love to share if you are interested.

Thank you, but my main interest is Third Reich although I became interested in recent Chinese history when teaching English in Taiyuan and Dongying. My grasp of Chinese is very slight!
