I was recently surprised to hear from a friend that Adolf Hitler almost drowned in a river in Passau, Germany in 1894, but was rescued by a priest. Details of the matter are available at the following link:

If Hitler had drowned, there would have been no Holocaust, no D-Day invasion, no Kristallnacht, no Holocaust memorials, and better yet, no memorials in the former Soviet Union or the rest of the former Warsaw Pact commemorating Soviet victories over the Nazis. Even so, WW2 would still have occurred because of Japanese aggression in East Asia and Italy's aggressions in North Africa and the Balkans.
What if: Adolf Hitler drowned in the river in Passau, 1890s

RE: What If Adolf Hitler Drowned In The River In Passau In The 1890's?
Greetings to both Cantankerous and the community as a whole. Howdy Cantankerous! Well sir OR madam, in respect to your introductory posting of Monday - September 02, 2019 - 4:30pm, unbeknownst to you, there are a multitude of WHAT IF topics that DIRECTLY or INDIRECTLY touch upon the "untimely demise" of the all knowing Bohemian Corporal and the potential impact his passing has OR will have upon historical events during the course of the Twentieth Century. When the time avails itself, you might want to peruse through the WHAT IF section of the forum. Without a doubt, many of your inquiries will be addressed in these other WHAT IF scenarios that have been generated by the neighborhood-at-large since the inception of this Axis History Forum. FAIR ENOUGH? Well, that's my initial two Yankee cents worth on this repetitive exercise into the premature death of Der Führer - for now anyway. In any case, I would like to bid you an especially copacetic day down on your patch of beach in the Southland of our once "Golden State" of California.
Best Regards,
Uncle Bob
