Victorious Postwar Reich and Europe

Does anyone know what the plan was for reorganizing the territories conquered by the Reich in the event of victory in the west?

Was there going to be a 'Greater Germania' that brought all of the nations together under Berlin's governance - as was briefly outlined in the AH 'Fatherland' - or was there going to be a larger Germany, surrounded by puppet nations like Vichy France? :?

Victorious Reich and postwar Europe

I think that the Reich would have chosen to have the other West European nations as puppet regimes. According to his table talks, Hitler did not want to implement the same governing and laws in all the conquered countries. AFAIK, the Nazis were never that specific about
what would happen after the war.

Best wishes,

Hitler spoke of a greater Germany with a central capital (that Speer was designing till the "end").

He also spoke of conquered countries being occupied territories governed / controlled by "farmer soldiers". What he meant by this I am unsure.

He also spoke people from the conquered countries being forced to come to the grand capital regularly to pay homage.

The topic you have raised was covered to some degree in KNAPP's doco on Speer.

Yea, it seems somewhat unclear what would've happen. It seems to me the Reich never actually thought anyone would lose, they assumed finally the allies would eventually see reason and agree to stop the bloodshed on peaceful terms.

Berlin was to be renamed Germania after the war when victory was secured and Hitler's and Speer's monumental plans had been completed. Germania would be the capital of both the Reich and the Greater German Reich which included all the captured teritories.

Of course it all went a bit wrong... :D
