Thanks Ron!

Hello,
Thank you very much for your picture.
I think the typ IX at right is U 874 typ IXD2. Could you confirm to me ? Because i know some pictures about this submarine at Lysahaly showing it, painted entirely in white. Maybe it was painted in white only before to be sunk in operation deadlight.
Best regards,
Lionfish

Hi
Click on this link for U874 http://uboot-recherche.de/en/u874-bilder#&gid=1&pid=
and on right of page click on "link" to download a PDF which has some small images of U874, I have not found a way to "extract "these images so as to get a clearer picture, if anybody knows how to "clean up" these images please let me now.
Many thanks to "uboot site" for images.
Rgds

I understand now U 874 was entirely painted in light grey Helgrau 50 ( RAL 7001 ) or Helgrau 50 alternative ( RAL 7038 ) by germans hands and was later painted entirely in white by the british hands except wind and wave deflectors painted in dark grey.
U 1109 had the same way.
Best regards,
Lionfish

I'm in no way an expert but could it be one of the 'off books' submarines belonging to the political party?
