HI Nobby The boat on the left seems to be a 651 - 683 type the right one is probably a Blohm & Voss it does look like Kirkenes is the location.

I think the boat left is U 436, and i think the boat on the right is U-585.
Picture taken on or after 25 March 1942, Kirkenes, Norway.

basically by the additional shielding at the top of the conning tower and the unusual position of the hydrogen's bottle for the balloon radar decoy "Aphrodite". Is she really the U 340?

Hi Nobby, U 710 looks good U 1051 was commissioned with two wintergardens so not U 1052 or 1055.
Not much visible of top foto but could be 251-291 series. Photo taken because of greatcoats October May period.
