Hello,

Normaly, the school tactical symbol is for U 48. But i have a doubt ! U 48 had some different details : The hole for the radio wire attach was smaler on U 48. The hole for the passage of the gun shells just under the wave deflector, was bigger on U 48.

Look at here :

Best regards,
Lionfish.

Hi,

Need some help with this one.

1)
Image

2), This is on back of the picture, my German is not that great. But i think the pic was taken on 25-08-1942.
The only commissioned boat on that date was U 339. Suggestions are welcome.

Have a nice Monday...................

my best regards,

Ron.

Hi Nobby,

no Blohm & Voss at all! Its U 254 entering Brest with its stern diving cell damaged by air attack on 4 August 1942, causing the boat to lie deep in the water.

Axel

PS: Reds still going strong!
