Hello,
I want to start with some photographs coming from the LI of U 957. Beside many photographs of Schaar & Co. I found several commanders one of them with the German Cross in Gold. Perhaps someone is able to identify the commanders.
Kind regards

Hello to all :D; U/K Oblt.z.S.: A German submarine commander tells:
"When we showed up, English money was on deck." A German submarine commander says: "We shot down our eels and went down to depth, when suddenly we heard a tremendous detonation, our torpedoes had reached their destination, we reappeared and found this: English money! It had flown aboard when the destroyer was torn to pieces in 1000 shreds ", PK.-Bild: Kriegsberichter Böltz)
