The official AHF U-boat quiz thread
We've had several different quizes running here in the forum for a while with great success and this new section has been open for a long while without one, so I'm starting one here too.
The rules are very simple:
The first one to post the correct answer to a question, posts a new question (must be on the U-boats) and so on.

Re: The official AHF U-boat quiz thread
Possibly the Italian submarines COMANDANTE ALFREDO CAPPELLINI and LUIGI TORELLI. Both were commissioned into the Italian Navy, refitted to serve as transport submarines to run supplies to Japan. After the refit is completed, the submarines are renamed the AQUILA III & AQUILA IV. While docked in Singapore Italy surrendered and the Japanese interned the crews and handed the boats over to the Germans. Germany sailed them under the names UIT-24 & UIT-25. When Germany surrendered Japan took them over and operated them under the names I-503 & I-504. Shortly before war's end, they were surrendered to the United States.
