No, the emblem of 1406 was red devil. You are looking for a type XVIIA, remember that the emblem has not been seen!!! It is only thought to have been a small mouse!

Correct, emblem was believed to be a small mouse but have never seen it.

OK...This might be really easy, but.....

U boat commanders were usually the ones awarded a Knight's Cross and/or a German Cross in Gold for a boat's actions. This boat, however, was so successful that these medals were issued to others as well.

First:
Name the commanders of this boat who were awarded the Knight's Cross. Did they survive the war?

Second:
Name the crewmember who was also awarded a Knight's Cross. Did he survive the war?

Third:
Name the man who served on every one of this boat's war patrols and was awarded a German Cross in Gold and for what? Did he survive the war?
