Found this photograph of U-1303 on Ebay but couldn't find other photographs or
additional info of this emblem save for what Georg Högel's book of emblems
has on it: "SAHLIN/Schweden (foto)" - perhaps referring to
to a Christer Sahlin. Also, the depicted emblem with "JIM" might suggest it
to have been derived from a different, maybe later, photograph of the boat, more so because
the drawings are obviously not an exact match. Anyhow, more info on the emblem would be most
welcome, for instance the meaning of "JIM", which appears to have been the name of that dog portrayed
but one can never be sure about such things. :lol:
