Hi
First one is marked on ebay as U 437 and the snorkel boat may be U 650. Bergen Sept 1944. I am an amateur don't forget!

Thanks Nobby, I appreciate that, I wondered if it was Zorn's U 650, I don't have a pic of U 650 and now I'm back to searching for a pic of Zorn.
Aside from Axel I think we're all just enthusiasts LOL

Picture not taken in Bergen. The ship seems to be Südmeer. If so im sure that the Picture is taken in Kirkenes and the uboats not being U 437 and
U 650.

HI Peter, The last photo looks like a BV 551-650 but cannot be certain. it was taken in Danzig as the ship in the background has appeared in a least one other Danzig picture that was dated July 1942.

Hello to all :D; another one..............................

Gotenhafen - October 1941!

At the bottom of the photo (see below) it reads: The Giuliani, in the background, in Gotenhafen in October 1941; in the foreground, the new German submarine U 730, returning to port from the tests at sea ....................

But ..... This boat was not commissioned into the Kriegsmarine. However she had been ordered and was, at least at one time, planned for commission.

Sources: https://uboat.net/boats/nc_730.html
http://conlapelleappesaaunchiodo.blogsp ... liani.html

Any idea if she was really the U 730 or not? Cheers. Raúl M 8-).

HI, Believe nearest boat is U 703 that boat was in the area in November and it had a gap in the hull vents as shown.
