Thank for your help Axel, I checked the U 203 and I obtained that:

1. U 203 5 Jun 1941 Kiel 29 Jun 1941 St. Nazaire Patrol 1, 25 days
2. U 203 10 Jul 1941 St. Nazaire 31 Jul 1941 St. Nazaire Patrol 2, 22 days
3. U 203 20 Sep 1941 St. Nazaire 30 Sep 1941 Brest Patrol 3, 11 days

6767 29.06.1941 12u30 1 U 203 203 1 MÜTZELBURG 'Rolf' NA 1 Einlaufen im Stützpunkt St. Nazaire 1e boot in Ubootbunker --
6768 10.07.1941 17u30 1 U 203 203 1 MÜTZELBURG 'Rolf' NA 2 Auslaufen aus Stützpunkt St. Nazaire
Like you correctly suggest the U 203 entered Saint Nazaire the 29 Jun 1941 for first time. Did you see any detail on the pictures for your deduction? :milwink:

Kind regards, George

I attach a picture of U 203: An undated picture of U 203. She was on her seventh war patrol in June 1942 and was to have a lucky escape when she was depth charged repeatedly

Happy New Year to everybody!
I attach part of transcription of the message behind the pictures if It can help:

2) "Aufstellung der (?) zur Begrüßung eingefunden hatten und das Musikkorps"

3) " Das U-Boot läuft ein, unter den Klängen des Engelandliedes"

Could be meant the song "Wir fahren gegen Engelland.." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xALz_YxKTPI

4) "Der U-Bootmann ...(von F ??).. meldet im Flottillenhof ! -"

Best regards, George

Hello,
Happy new year.
I know a pic of this submarine with the emblem in front of the tower and paint over the yellow band ( the band painted on the U-boot in the baltic training operation ).
Best regards,
Lionfish.

Pascal,

I think so too,that you`re picture is also U 72.

Nobby,

I think the emblem is from the 21TH U-Flottille at Pillau but i am not sure.

my best regards,

Ron.

Hi
Have found references that U 255 was acting as a refueling "tank" for flying boats?! during Sept -Oct 1943.
