I would very much like to know who this ??? person is,crossing from U 390 to U 239!

Hi Nobby, It looks like a dockworker to me. He seems-when i blew up the picture, to be wearing a flat cap.

Yes! I am sure he is, although a strange time to choose to walk across as the comission is about to start! Reminds me of a couple of days ago at Malaga Airport, I saw a "senior couple" travelling the wrong way on a travellator! without a care in the world!
Hope you captured the U 390 pics on ebay! a rare treat

Hi Nobby, I think the ensign is already unfurled on U 239. It's a great picture though.
At least you didn't see some young lunatic running down the upward escalator in Manchester airport like I did-and he was wearing shorts!

Hi The boat nearest the dock is U 390 as the last sections of the railings show, and yes I have seen the boats pictures on ebay.
