WWII U Boat operations off the coast of Texas

Post by AginAf » 08 Sep 2018 03:39

I am looking for the U Boat ID and skipper who sunk a couple of vessels off Houston, Texas in mid 1942.
My family was on the beach at Galveston, and could see the smoke from the victim ship(s) over the horizon.

Rostin U 158.
Got it. Seems to track with Blair's account in THE HUNTERS.
Many thanks.
