Diving Time

Does anyone know the standard diving times for both the Type VII and The Type IX. And the 'crash' dive times for both boats. Would also be interested in comparison times to the British U and T class, and the US Gato class.

Given that the Type IX was substantially larger than the Type VII, I would expect the Type VII to be the quicker of the two, but by how much.

Am also surprised at (seemingly) how greater the dive depth of both U-Boat types (230m) were compared to British and US subs (100m -150m). Lucky for the British and American subs that they didn't face an enemy as skilled in ASW.
