Hello all

Hello all,

Just for kicks....do any of you know how much the Edelweiss visor insignia is worth? I know a normal mountain Edelweiss insignia badge doesn't run too much, but mine did see the walls of the famous boat. Please let me know either way. Thank you.

Hello,

Why is the price so little? I mean, Peter V. Lukas sells U-Boat cap insignias for hundreds more than that. Please let me know either way. Thank you.

for the Edelweiss is stanadard comon item, not like other specialised U-boat cap insignias.
also Peter Lukas is big time dealer and his prices are high anyway i think.

Perhaps you should get a jeweller to carefully fold that bent back petal straight again ?

Yes, read that book several years ago. I've always remembered that radio transmission he sent out....

Forgive me, but I don't understand the edelweiss connection here. Was Schulz in the Mountain Troops before joining the KM?

The Edelweiß pin is not bent: that is one of two prongs for affixing it to the cap. I find it interesting that in the pictures of Schulze wearing the folding cap, that he is wearing an other ranks' cap rather than an officer's.
